Roundup Weedkiller helps you get rid of invasive weeds

When the tough get growing…

… you need Roundup Weedkiller!

Sometimes, it feels like weeds just won’t go away. Particularly the hardier and more resistant weeds such as nettles, brambles, thistles and docks.

The good news is Roundup can help you control and eradicate even the most stubborn, invasive and difficult of weeds.

Kill invasive weeds: bindweedBindweed is often a nuisance in borders, living up to its name by wrapping itself around some of your most valued plants.

This can make it difficult to apply Roundup direct to the weed. The best approach is to pull the bindweed away from cultivated plants and train the weed up canes. This allows you to spray Roundup straight on to bindweed, without damaging other plants.

Kill invasive weeds: marestailMarestail has a waxy coating that can protect against some competitor weedkillers. But Roundup’s patented, advanced technology allows it to penetrate through this outer layer, with the best results occurring when it’s applied in mid-July – with a follow up treatment in early September.

kill invasive weeds: ground elderGround Elder has a shallow rooting system that, during warmer months, may prove slightly more resistant to the effects of Roundup. Simply water the weed for a few days, prior to treatment. This will ensure that, post application, Roundup is circulated more effectively throughout the plant’s growing system.

Kill invasive weeds: Japanese knotweedJapanese Knotweed
is probably the most notorious and persistent weed in gardens throughout the UK. Rapid growing, the best solution is to either spray with Roundup or cut back the weed when it reaches 1m in height. An application of Roundup in mid-July should eradicate the problem completely. If, by mid-August, the weed is still growing, cut the stem to a height of 200mm, 40mm above a node, and rupture the central tissue with a screwdriver, before pouring in a 20% soution of Roundup Tree Stump & Root Killer.

When can my children/pets return to the treated area?

When Roundup has been absorbed by the leaf, the residue will dry. When the residue has dried, children and pets can be allowed back onto the treated areas.

Can Roundup kill Japanese Knotweed?

Yes, but you will need to use Roundup Tree Stump & Root Killer. It may take several applications – please read the label for further advice.

When can I replant/reseed after use?

Roundup is only active in plants and is inactivated on contact with the soil. It is then broken down by soil micro organisms so that you can re-use the soil for re-planting. We recommend that you leave treated weeds for about 7 days before digging or cultivating the soil to allow Roundup to move to the roots of the weed.
